Today we headed to the second day of VegFest 2017 in Golden Colorado: an entire plant-based/vegan event. We sampled many protein shakes, probiotic juices, cookie dough, ice cream, cheese and granola.

Lunch. Was. Amazing.  We ate at this food truck, Wong Way Veg.  I had the Loaded Poutine Fries and Ale had a Philly Cheesesteak. For a food truck, both were such large servings and SO filling.  Several people came up to me while I was eating asking where I had gotten them because they looked (and tasted) so delicious.  The poutine fries had cashew ricotta cheese, maple eggplant “bacon”, green onions, and some sort of vegan gravy.  Definitely the best poutine I’ve ever had.

You may not realize it, but there are probably several vegan fests near you.  If you haven’t looked around your city for these festivals, I definitely recommend getting involved with the vegan community.  It’s so refreshing to see people of all backgrounds and ages, coming together for a common belief. Great Sunday outing!
